We call on you to stop fracking in Pennsylvania given the threat it poses to the public health and safety of residents and the environment. Drilling and fracking, along with its dangerous infrastructure including pipelines and compressor stations, have made many children and families sick, poisoned drinking water, polluted air and polluted land across the state. There have been over 300 confirmed cases of water contamination from drilling and fracking in PA according to the state DEP. Fracking exacerbates climate change and cannot be done safely. Stop fracking now, help those who have been harmed, and commit to swiftly transitioning Pennsylvania to a clean energy economy.
